Jonathan Saunders’ SS10 collection was like standing in a wide open space – totally tranquil and tantalisingly calm. An ocean of whites and sof pastels lapped over sporty fabrics and fine tailored clothes. Whispers of organza caressed arms and legs and peeped out from beneath heavier layers, while flashes of fluro and nature-like greens dragged imaginations back into the present.
There were mesh panels and belted waists, asymmetric shoulders and geometric designs which had the designers' signatue touch but adecidedly more ladylike and sohpisticated feel. Saunder's says he was inspired by films of old, nineties photography and pharmaceutical packaging when creating his sweet-as-sugar designs – whatever it was, it worked and we love it!
