You always know there’s going to be a great story behind a Peter Jensen show. And for AW10, the playful designer didn’t disappoint! Inspired by Muriel Spark’s book - The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie – Jensen's collection had a rebellious feel which made us want to go back to school.


Against a painted backdrop of Jean’s classroom and dressed in their pinstripe micro minis, shrunken woolen balzers and velvet tartan dresses, the models screamed, oh how good it feels to be young!  

And in their ankle socks, seamed stockings, frilly Mary Janes and headscarves, it all had a romantic 1950s take. With Nina Persson from the Cardigans performing love songs live, you got the feeling Jensen's girls were about to skip school, camp out in their dorm rooms, sip gin out of floral teacups and talk about boys boys boys. His show was on Valentines' Day after all …
