If you love fashion or photography then make sure you stop by the National Portrait Gallery and gawp in wonder at Ivring Penn: Portraits. A who’s-who of yesteryear’s biggest stars, shot immaculately in black and white and beautifully so, Penn had an idea that the best shots came from his subjects’ different reactions to the poses or sets he put them in. We couldn’t help but fall in love with the beautiful Yves Saint Laurent and we just adored the cheeky smile on the fabulous Josephine Baker. Expect to see not only portraits of Christian Dior, Grace Kelly and Marlene Dietrich, but a slice of history perfectly poised. It’s on until June 6 and is stuffed so full of beautiful images that we might just have to go again!
