We had to pick our jaws up off the floor when we read about US boutique Resurrection Vintage’s 20 Years of Maison Martin Margiela sale.  Co-owners Mark Haddawy and Katy Rodriguez are currently selling off over 1500 never-worn pieces, collected by the late – and extremely stylish – Marcia Berger, who bought and displayed the garments as pieces of art.  How they can bear to sell them on we’ll never know!  The sale continues until the 31st March and we’re beyond envious of anybody who has the chance to get their mitts on one of these pieces of fashion history.  If you happen to be in LA or New York, we’d definitely recommend a trip to one of Resurrection Vintage’s boutiques, if only to have a look and a dream …

We’re also going Margiela-crazy over here in Blighty, with news of Somerset House hosting Maison Martin Margiela ‘20’ The Exhibition from 3rd June to the 5th September. This major showcase, in collaboration with the iconic design house, is a celebration of all that has come out of it in its 20 year lifespan and has been curated by the Mode Museum in Antwerp. Expect to see a mixture of installations, photography and film, as well as a gaggle of very excited Topshop employees!
