This week we’ll be crossing out the 23rd April - 3rd May in our diaries and filling them with the Pick Me Up: Contemporary Graphic Art Fair. This celebration of graphic art showcases amazing work from up-and-coming designers, picked from the fray by those in the know.

Hosts Somerset House have commissioned each contributing artist to produce a limited edition print to be sold at the show. The emphasis is on making graphic design accessible - prices won’t be sky-high, so it’s a great way to get your hands on something beautiful, different and totally new.

Our absolute favourite designer Rob Ryan is going to be there too, opening his temporary studio to anybody who wants to see his process at work. He’ll also be inviting his peers to get involved, designing pieces live, with visitors’ help, which will then go on sale. This is an amazing chance to spend the day working with some brilliant design talent, and we’ll be there, eagle-eyed at the front, watching everything unfold.

There’ll be art to buy, along with t-shirts and fanzines; screen-printing workshops will be there for the taking and you can learn something at any one of the programme of talks and lectures. Feeling a bit giddy with excitement? We are too!

Featured work: Rob Ryan, HelloVon and Alex Trochut.
