16th to 18th of July was Germany's Melt! Festival and we were lucky enough to go! It's held in an amazing abandoned quarry site, with a lake and a beach so we could top up our tans and party away at the same time.
This was the over night train that took us from Cologne to Ferropolis. It's a really cool eco idea and you sleep in your cabin for the rest of the festival instead of camping! There was a nightclub and a bar on it to get the party started early… all aboard the disco train!
Everyone hangs out by the lake before the partying starts in the evening. And as the sun goes down the party on the beach is just warming up…
This is the awesome view of the festival from across the lake.
We just HAD to get a snap of Groove Armada's lead singer on the Friday - the collar was made of balloons, what a crazy outfit!
They lit up the old machines in the quarry at night and had bars and giant glitter balls on them which sparkled over the whole festival! Amazing!
When Goldfrapp performed on Sunday, we instantly fell in love with her amazing coat. And her pianists outfit was super cool too!
Massive Attack dominated the main stage on the last night- what a show!
