One of our favourite London labels, Preen, sent out streamlined looks in an understated bleached-out palette. Unlike the 90s-inspired looks featuring florals, zips, mesh and sexy cut-outs that we're so used to seeing from Preen, for SS11, the collection went for minimal and softly structured looks.
Inspiration was taken directly from men's tailoring to create surprisingly feminine and easy-to-wear garments. Blazers, pant-suits, and trousers with cummerbund-like bands were sleek and modern; tailored jackets and deconstructed waistcoats featured itty-bitty tube tops for a risqué look; origami-like skirts and sleeveless knee-length dresses came in A-line cuts; and dreamy ethnic-print dresses were all perfect for summer evenings in the city!
