What's not to love at Rodarte? Each season, designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy send out more beautiful, complex clothing. And for the first time this season, it seemed that the Rodarte sisters were interested in creating clothing that was entirely wearable.

The impressive front row consisted of US Vogue's Andre Leon Talley, designer Diane Von Furstenburg, recording artist Kanye West and tennis star Serena Williams, and understandably so; Rodarte's past collections of flawless, intricately constructed chiffon dresses are a favourite with A-list stars.

This season, everyone could wear their multi-layered garments in earthy, unusual, Eastern-inspired prints and forms. Shapes were minimal, as was the palette, that revolved around soft, muted metallics, rustic hues, deep blue and mint greens. Among the toned-down denim-jacquard shorts, plaid linen trousers, and leather dresses in natural colourways were the coveted dresses we have come to know and love – including a textured vivid gold, cinched-waist number. Perfect for die-hard Rodarte fans.
