An extra early start meant there was plenty of time to choose an outfit! The problem was what accessories to go for. After deciding on several rings, a patterned scarf and lots and lots of black eye liner, it was off to meet fellow personal shopper Laura at the Topshop Show Space at the Old Billingsgate Market. Getting off the tube, it wasn't difficult to find your way to the venue – you just had to pick out the high heels and handbags from the suits and follow their steps!
A quick bite to eat, and then to our seats to see the first show of the day, Peter Pilotto. The models came out to a thumping beat which made us sit up and pay attention. There were oversized shirt dresses with weighty chain prints, strong tailoring in black and white and my personal favourite, a bright yellow silk dress which featured cut-outs and revealed a glimpse of skin.
The make-up was bright, yet simple and the side sweeping fringe is definitely one I'll be trying to re-create. After the show, we made our way outside where we saw two of my favourite bloggers, Garance Dore and Scott Schuman of the Sartorialist snapping away at the style. Laura’s brand new Unique platforms received rather a lot of love…
After a quick coffee it was time to head back to the venue for Michael van der Ham. Seated behind blogger, Susie Bubble, we were in good company.
The wonderful velvet dresses, floral kints with highlights of gold and silver lurex looked amazing and were very wearable. Will defiantly be putting a velvet dress on the wish list for next AW, but in what colour?
After all the excitement, we dashed back to the Personal Shopping department at One New Change for our afternoon appointments. We were feeling very inspired by what we saw today and cannot wait to tell my clients about all the amazing looks for next winter.
