Last Saturday evening we pulled out our reddest lipstick, put in our biggest rollers and got ready to head down to the Blitz Party. Held at Village Underground in Shoreditch, the night played host to a bevy of perfectly coiffed boys and girls, all ready to party it up, 1940s style!

In their pretty tea dresses and military uniforms everybody looked every inch the part – it was like being transported back in time. There were sparkling cocktails and old school real ales, live entertainment and riotous dancing. From live bands to bagpipes, the music ricocheted off the exposed brick walls and got the party started in earnest – we felt utterly at home on the packed dance floor and couldn’t help but notice how much fun everybody was having!

We never need an excuse to get wildly overdressed, but if we did, this was it. The boys were chivalrous and the dancing was swinging, the mood was jubilant and the atmosphere electric.

If you fancy having a retro night of fun for yourselves then be sure to book in for their event on April 2nd. We just know you’ll love it as much as we did!
