If you're a shoe lover, get set to go wild for independent shoe brand Miista! The brainchild of London College of Fashion graduate, Laura Villasenin, who bought together a small group of her arty friends to create her dream shoe line, this is a brand that you'll want on your radar.

Fashion bloggers have been quick to catch-on and Miista's quirky and distinctive designs have already been captured in many a street-style snap. Even Miista's campaign imagery is so hip, it's painful! Laura roped in uber-cool photographer Saga Sig – a favourite of ours – for this stunning shoot that took place over in Iceland.

Often incorporating opposing elements such as hard and soft, or masculine and feminine, Miista's shoes are beautifully complex. Although most of her designs are strong and functional at their core, it's the elegant and unexpected details – like quirky cut-outs and buckles – that make them so unique.

The look for AW11 is all about an ultra-chunky banana-heel, with lace-up hiking styles joined by sleeker shoe-boots. Laura's main aim was to create something that is stylish yet tough and wearable, so although these may look super high, they're surprisingly comfy. We should know after stomping around the office in them!

We'll definitely be grabbing ourselves a pair when they arrive on at the end of the week! You?
