It was all dewy skin and fresh faces on the models at JW Anderson, but eyes were firmly on his collection. Touted as one of the ones-to-watch, he came out in full force for AW12, with a collection that was as slick and perfectly formed as any we've seen. Cuts were modest, with an emphasis on full skirts in midi lengths and high-neck knits. Think fisherman styles layered under high-shine quilted tanks in purest white and softest cream. Pulled tartan wool jumpqers fought for space next to textured pencil skirts and neatly tailored coats. A feast for the senses and beautiful to boot. The show-stoppers had the crowd gasping – co-ord suits in luxury tones had a dazzlingly futuristic shine, like robot dressing for the super stylish! Warm reds and burnt oranges bled into inky blacks and charcoal grey, with a side helping of pure wintry white. If this is where style is headed, bring on the cold weather!
