What… Mary Katrantzou – a.k.a it’s only a matter of time before her designs take the world of Paris couture by storm.

Where… The Topshop Showspace, Bedford Square.

Who… Fashion heavyweights; Hilary Alexander, Vogue’s Alexandra Shulman, Anna Dello Russo and the gorgeous Taylor Tomasi-Hill – to name but a few!

The collection in 5 words… iconic, breathtakingly ornate, dazzling, luxurious.

What we loved… The candy-hued patent Louboutins, metallic trompe l’oeil detailing that transported us to a world of fantastical dragons and oriental florals and the voluptuous silhouettes – think parachutes, concertina pleats and stiff yet generous dolman sleeves.

Hero piece… Impossible to choose but if we had to? Any of the printed-glass evening dresses: crafted from Swarovski-crystal mesh, they literally had us gasping for breath – especially when worn by Miss Cara Delevigne; if she’s wearing it, we want it.

Hair loving… Neat and slicked back in a concealed bun.

Beauty notes… A barely there complexion complete with nude lips, cheekbones accentuated with a heavy gloss to give off a delicious dewy sheen and a thick slick of eyeliner and dark blue lids for impact.

Inspired by… Bank notes and postage stamps – simple oddities transformed into what can only be described as art – such is the power of the Katrantzou!
