The fad for vintage-inspired pop that makes us yearn for the sun has been around so long it’s surely something more and longer sustaining than a mere craze? Let’s be clear here, there’s nothing faddy about London three-piece F.U.R.S but their tunes are one hundred percent retro-fabulous and induce a genuine desire for dancing in the sun.

Brother and sister team Liam and Elle Wade joined musical forces with drummer Olly Betts and have since been making a decent ripple in the music industry with their debut single, Striptease. It’s that perfect combination of addictive guitars riffs, a touch of chillwave and easy vocals that seem to melt out of Elle’s lips. It’s the perfect soundtrack for a lazy afternoon at the park or a ‘70s inspired garden party. Last month they took off across the UK with Johnny Marr, got a taste for the touring life and loved it. Now in the chaotic midst of finishing up their debut album we stole some precious time with lead singer Elle Wade about making sweet music and the question of inspiration.

What inspires the music you make?
