For us Topshop girls, the little black dress is our ultimate go-to piece! So just imagine our excitement when we saw that the Savannah College of Art and Design had organised an exhibition dedicated to the LBD at the oh-so-chic Mona Bismarck American Center in Paris.
The iconic piece created by Coco Chanel back in the ‘50s is unarguably one of those pieces that every girl should have hanging in her wardrobe. A timeless and elegant go to staple, from Prada pleated silk to eccentric leather as seen on Lady Gaga, the 50 designer pieces featured in this gorgeous exhibit will show you why the little black dress has been reinvented time and time again.
From simple and minimal cuts for daytime to tulle gowns for evening soirees, we’re proud to see our best friend being honored in this exquisite exhibit. So head to Paris if you can and pay your respect to the classiest of all dresses at this exhibition which is open until 22nd September.
The only problem is that after seeing the amazing designs on display, we guarantee that you’ll want to get your hands on a brand new LBD! Well at least they’re a forever piece we hear you say…
