King of the East London club kids, Nasir Mazhar and his distinctively outrageous designs always provide a welcome break from the serious and toned down clothing that can often populate fashion week. His collections are filled with ‘ghetto styling’, brash slogans, crop-tops, and acid colours, all of which are loved by his devoted fanbase. This season his presentation consisted of a selection of his close friends – and girls he thought were cool – posing in front of a make-shift photography shoot while snapping selfies of themselves and having the occasional dance off. It was certainly a sight to see, and the appreciative whooping and cheering from the audience signalled it went down a treat!

What we loved… The cropped slogan sweatshirts, quilted backpacks and monochrome tracksuits with gold detailing were a visual treat and could quite happily slip in to our casual weekend wardrobes. The white Nike Air Force 1’s decorating the feet of a number of the models looked super cool and continued the street vibe powering through the show. Our clear favourite however had to be a sugar pink quilted skirt suit with white panelling and a matching visor. Think Cher in Clueless but with a decidedly ghetto spin!

Make-up artist Daniel Sallstrom kept to Nasir’s quintessential look of urban street style keeping the hair just the right side of edgy. “It’s ghetto meets 1950s,” said Daniel as he slicked liquid eyeliner across the lids of stylist Anna Trevelyan, who was also sharing her work as a model this season in addition to being the collection’s lead stylist.
