Whether dressed down in plaid or hitting up the front row in her signature layered tailoring, Ozzie style guru Margaret Zhang has got us drooling over her daily looks on her blog Shine By Three. But this 20-year old isn’t just a pretty face with a killer wardrobe – she’s also a talented photographer, Harper’s Bazaar Australia contributor and law student at the University of Sydney. Can we trade lives please?!

We caught up with Zhang during London Fashion Week to talk handbag essentials, London hotspots and her ultimate fashion tunes.

What sets London Fashion Week apart from the rest?

I find that London is so much more supportive of true design over commercial viability – production talk comes later, and real creative talent comes first.

Your favourite show venue?

I was amazed at how drastically Topshop’s Tate Modern space was transformed in a few hours!

What are your show style essentials?

A clutch big enough to fit my DSLR camera, phone, charger, and a ziplock bag of nuts to snack on!

Where’s best for a strong drink and dinner once it’s all over?

Shoreditch House has the most amazing vegetarian selection, and Lounge Lover’s late night plates and cocktails are as good as its furnishings.

What do you think you’ll be seeing a lot of at the shows?

A lot of layering of more transeasonal pieces, longer coat lengths, more faux fur, ’80s shoulders, ’90s shoes, ’60s makeup, and bed-head hair.

What would be your ultimate Fashion Week playlist?

Azealia Banks, Lykke Li, J. Viewz, Carla Bruni, Beyoncé, Flume, Iggy Azalea, Queen, Parov Stelar, Marina and the Diamonds, Stevie Wonder, Active Child.

The best place to escape the Fashion Week whirl?

My brother is travelling with me at the moment, so we cook together every night. The conversation usually revolves around how he’s doing in his new computer game involving monkeys shooting balloons!
