Last night we nabbed a spot on the guest list for the opening of the Royal Academy of Arts‘ Summer Exhibition. And boy was it a party. An A-list cocktail of art insiders, actresses, musicians and models were treated to a sneak preview of the exhibition – made up of thousands of works from both established and up-and-coming art talents. More on the art later (plus how you can win tickets), but for now we need to talk about all the stars that made an appearance, not to mention the outfits.

Every which way we looked were famous faces – from Alexa Chung posing out in the courtyard and David Gandy musing over the art to buddies Nick Grimshaw and Daisy Lowe giggling over the canapés and a surprise gig by the Kaiser Chiefs. After hours of deliberation we’ve managed to narrow it down to our favourite looks from the night…

Alexa Chung doing that pretty-tomboy thing she does so effortlessly in a tailored midi, lace crop and ankle boots.

Jaime Winstone and All Saint’s Melanie Blatt rocked a white sundress and printed co-ords from the Kate Moss for Topshop collection.

We were crushing hard on blogger Bip Ling’s cute furry bag and hologram shoes – this girl is our quirky accessories queen!

Daisy Lowe gave us a masterclass in modern tailoring – sheer blouse + silk wide-leg trousers = effortless party chic.

And not really for the outfit but just because he’s a babe, here’s a picture of David Gandy hanging out with BFC bigwig Caroline Rush. You’re welcome.

The RAA’s Summer Exhibition runs from 9th June – 17th August. Look out for our special offers and competition to win tickets coming soon!
