WHO: The wild and wonderful Ryan Lo.

WHAT: His SS15 presentation that will be stocked at the creme dela creme of internet retailers, Net-a-Porter.

WHERE: Snuggled up near the Topshop café at our Showspace in King’s Cross.

THE GUESTS: Who wasn’t there? Lots of newspaper and magazine types including Vogue’s Fran Burns, the Independent’s Alex Fury and Dazed’s editor Tim Noakes. As well as a bunch of fab fashion girls whose street style we adore incluing Purple Fashion’s Paula Goldstein, Nell Kalonji and Vogue’s Naomi Smart. (Many of whom were reeling after last night’s crazy AnOther Magazine party.)

COLLECTION IN 5 WORDS: Glitter mermaids get Abba-fied.

INSPIRED BY: “Mamma Via, Muriel’s wedding, mermaids, South Pacific and a little bit of Miss Saigon!” declared Ryan Lo as he got his blond locks pulled into a bun at the Topshop Showspace’s Beauty Pitstop.

WHAT WE LOVED: The tropical vibes that felt very, very NOW. Not only was the collection all shells and fabulous ocean-inspired fabrications but the set design was superlative. Dream team Masha Mei and Tessa Yop worked together on the set design which was all flamingos, palm trees and blow-up Shamu. Cute, eh?

HERO PIECE: A pastel pink woollen mini dresses threaded with glitter that stylist Charlotte Stockdale paired with a delicate lace overlay.

HAIR & BEAUTY: Ryan’s direction was all about the glitter, “I saw a picture of Sky Ferreria on Instagram that was covered glitter and I thought it was perfect!” Mathais van Hooff using MAC made the look into reality with a face covered in shimmer and Chiwong looked to Sophie in Mamma Mia for soft Grecian-style hair dos with loose buns and side partings.

WHAT THE SHOW NOTES SAID:  There were no show notes! It was totes eco-friendly.

WHAT THE EDITORS SAID: @ELLEUK Frills, glitter, lace, tassels – the RyanLo girl has it all!
