London Collections: Men is the guys version of Fashion Week and today it was Topman’s turn to show their AW15 collection. It seemed rude to pass up the opportunity to hang out with David Gandy on the front row, so we popped down to give you the lowdown. It’s a hard life.
WHO: Topman Design is a premium collection from Topman, designed in-house for two high-end collections a year.
WHERE: A slick warehouse-type set-up in London’s Old Sorting Office.
THE GUESTS: With Douglas Booth, Nathan Stewart Jarrett, Tinie Tempah, Oliver Cheshire and David Gandy sitting front row, it was hard to actually concentrate on the clothes… Dermot O’Leary also made an appearance with X Factor winner Ben Haenow in tow, plus lots of fashion types including Henry Holland, Grimmy and editors from GQ and Esquire.
INSPIRED BY: The ’70s was the obvious theme – with clothes calling out reference to everything from Northern Soul, Glam Rock and the Bay City Rollers.
KEY PIECES: Skinny tartan suits, overalls adorned with stars ‘n’ stripes, suede jackets, retro hi-tops, mega mohair coats and polonecks galore.
