Whether it’s the style or complete lifestyle, youth culture has been a source of inspiration for photographers, film makers, designers and artists for hundreds of years. Teenagers are the continual trendsetters, so we’ve rounded up three of the best things to do to relive your teenage dreams this weekend.

Teddy Boys, punks and ’90s dream teens are brought together in a new exhibition opening at the Photographer’s Gallery today. We Could Be Heroes showcases the work of 12 photographers, documenting youth culture of the last 100 years. Expect amazing imagery – like this punk pretty shot from Karen Knorr and Olivier Richon’s 1967-1977 series Punks – and style inspiration galore.

We’ve had 17 year old Lapsley’s Falling Short EP on repeat since it was released late last year. And yes, you read that correctly, she’s 17.  If you haven’t added her to your playlist yet, you need to. The Liverpudlian producer and musician has already been championed by Radio 1 and fellow musician Rae Morris. Keep an eye out for her debut album, it’s due later this year!

The BFI Southbank has just kicked off its latest season, dedicated to Hollywood icon Katharine Hepburn. Round up your mates and head down to a screening of classic Little Women for a beautifully old school coming of age adaptation.

Stuck for what to wear on your cultural adventures? We’ve got your back.
