We never stop talking about all things women at Topshop and what better day than International Women’s Day to really shout about some of our favourite new faces and the events you can get involved with.

Race car driver Susie Wolff

Susie Wolff is smashing glass ceilings like a boss. Car racing has always been a male-only space but little by little Wolff has been changing attitudes and showing the guys how it’s done. The first female since 1992 to take part in a race weekend at Silverstone, for 2015 Wolff will continue her domination and drive for Team Williams during practice at the British and Spanish Grand Prix.

Presenter Gemma Cairney

We’ve been smitten with presenter Gemma Cairney’s fashion and music chat since listening to her early show on BBC Radio 1. This year she’s taking on a new project, a video investigation focussed around young girls titled, “What it’s Like to be Girl RIGHT NOW,” in which she chats with teens from across the country about everything from bullying to sexism. Don’t miss the screening and surrounding talks at WOW festival, here.

Birth of the Pill by Jonathan Eig

History never sounded so good. Swap your rom com for a little non-fiction and get stuck into the story of one of the most important moments in women’s rights. Author Jonathan Eig takes you from the exhilarating days in Greenwich Village to the trail tests in Puerto Rico, the book is an all-consuming ride about a revolutionary period in time.

Bridget Christie at Women of the World Festival, Southbank London

Our favourite stand up who just so happens to be a raving feminist, Bridget Christie, joins comedy titans Caitlin Moran and Shazia Mira to talk about women in the laughing biz at the Southbank centre. Do whatever you can to get a golden ticket!

Women’s Day Walk, London’s City Hall

Join some of feminism’s mighty fan girls Jane Garvey, Laura Bates and Gemma Arteton for a march along London’s Southbank in aid of Women’s Day. Just rock up in something purple and green – suffragette’s colours, duh! – to show your support.
