5 Things to Know from the Topshop Escape in Palm Springs

This weekend we spent a few days in California’s Palm Springs and took over the dreamy Korakia Hotel to get into the festival spirit and have some fun. Amongst the mini-facials and the poolside parties, here’s what went down at the Topshop Escape…

Festival Fashion Moved On

Forget about feathered head pieces and suede waist coats, this year festival fashion stepped out of it’s comfort zone. We saw women rocking everything from ’90s sportswear to modern minimalism and boho-chic – whatever your style of choice, it’s now festival-approved.

Everyone Still Loves Glitter

Our friends Gypsy Shrine were on hand to bring the sparkle to Palm Springs with three artists be-jewelling guests with stick-on face crystals and endless body glitter. Our sequined jeans also got snapped up fast at our pop-up shop which tells us that whatever trends may change on the festival circuit, glitter is sticking around.

Yoga is SO Palm Springs

Between watching bands and heading events across Indio and Palm Springs most of our guests were feeling a little worse for wear this weekend. A free yoga class courtesy of our friends at Playlist Yoga made for the ultimate rejuvenation session on Sunday morning. And, of course, everyone wore Ivy Park.

Slogans are Sticking Around

From band tees to feminist declarations, slogan and logo tees were not to be missed at the Topshop Escape. Singer Kerri Medders wore our current favourite and most-Instagrammed shirt, “Females of the Future”!

It’s All About the Photo Wall

Instead of your standard photo booth we commissioned artist James Goldcrown to paint a unique photo wall for our Topshop Escape pop-up. Using millennial pink as his background colour of choice and spraying on multi-coloured hearts, it made for the perfect backdrop for our well-dressed guests.
