3. Candice dancing in her Topshop dress at the Met Gala
We can’t stop watching this video of supermodel Candice Swanepoel showing off her custom Topshop dress at the Met Gala. The video portraits of the Gala attendees were directed by Gordon von Steiner for Vogue magazine.
4. Chanel shows its Cruise collection in Paris
On Wednesday, Chanel brought Ancient Greece to Paris with its Resort 2018 collection, starring elaborate toga dresses in white and gold, tweed cover-ups and gladiator sandals. Amongst the model line-up was Topshop campaign girl Luna Bjil, as pictured above.

6. A new Frida Kahlo exhibition opens in California
The dark braids and bright flowers, the intricately embroidered blouses and froth of skirts, the chunky necklaces, the lace, the ribbons, the monobrow…⠀ ⠀ A new exhibition at the Museum of Latin American Art, California explores the powerful personal style of Frida Kahlo and how she used clothes to shape her identity.⠀ ⠀ The story of her clothing is rather incredible, given that after Kahlo’s death in 1954 the majority of her wardrobe lay untouched for fifty years. Her bathroom and private dressing room were sealed shut on partner Diego Rivera’s orders and only opened again in 2004. ⠀ ⠀ One can only imagine what it must have been like to explore the contents of her wardrobe for the first time, to bring all those familiar shapes and lines back into the light…⠀ ⠀ 📷 Nikolas Muray⠀
Want to take a peek inside Frida Kahlo’s wardrobe? A new exhibition dedicated to portraits of the artist taken by friend and photographer Nickolas Muray has opened at the Museum of Latin American Art in California. With around 50 images spanning nearly 10 years, it offers fresh insights into how she used clothes to shape her identity.
