Who Wore What at the Met Gala 2017

From Cara Delevingne’s silver suit and painted-head to Bella Hadid’s spiderweb Alexander Wang catsuit, tonight’s Met Gala event celebrating designer Rei Kawabuko showcased some of the most boundary-pushing looks we’ve seen on any red carpet in history. The architectural and avant garde outfits – note: Katy Perry’s red tulle wonder and Gigi Hadid’s split-personality gown – were very much in line with the name of the Costume Institute’s exhibit, Rei Kawakubo / Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between, which showcases the balance between wearability and pure art.

This year we dressed five of our favourite models and muses of the moment, Sofia Richie, Sistine Stallone, Joan Smalls, Behati Prinsloo and Candice Swanepoel in custom Topshop gowns, designed and created especially for the Met Gala. Before heading to the main event the girls joined the Topman crew – Gabriel Kane Day-Lewis, Presley Gerber and Jordan Barrett – at the Four Seasons hotel for a reception and to capture those all important group shots. See the full bespoke Topshop looks below…
