3 Trends From The Haute Couture Shows To Try Now

The Haute Couture shows kicked off earlier this week in Paris, as some of the world’s leading, luxury designers showcased their AW17 collections. What caught our eye? Besides the much talked about Viktor & Rolf show featuring massive doll heads, we spotted three pretty wearable trends we will be trying ourselves…

1. Sheer tulle

Rodarte, Giambattista Valli and many more Haute Couture designers draped their models in delicate layers of sheer tulle. Luckily, the tulle trend has already hit the high street so you can get the look right now. Try combining a tulle top with a skirt to create new silhouettes and make it your own.

2. Floral Hair

If Rodarte and Imane Ayissi’s Haute Couture shows are anything to go by, more is definitely more when it comes to hair accessories next season. Simply attach strands of fresh flowers to your hair with some golden hair swirls and bow clips, or opt for floral embroidered headbands or garlands for an easier recreation.

3. Feathers

Zuhair Murad and Elie Saab proved that feathers in fashion aren’t just for festivals in their latest runway shows. Whereas you probably won’t be wearing a Couture gown anytime soon, you can still pick from Marabou jackets, feathery capes, bags, sandals or headpieces to have a go at the trend right now.
