Behind The Scenes Of Our Spring Campaign

In case you hadn’t heard, we launched the trailer for the Topshop spring campaign today – filmed at Hollywood’s iconic Chateau Marmont. To celebrate, we’re taking you behind the scenes of the LA shoot, with insider insights from our very own Shoot Production Co-Ordinator, Georgia Benney. Here’s the five things she learned from hanging out on set…

The music…

Everyone was a huge fan of The Smiths. The songs Hang The DJ and There Is A Light That Never Goes Out were played on repeat.

The food…

Deconstructed burritos are a thing. The Mexican food on the menu was created by cool LA eatery Kitchen Mouse.

The models…

Cara Taylor always makes sure she gets her daily dose of vitamin C. She was rarely seen between takes without a clementine in her hand – stylist Alice Goddard even had to confiscate one from the American model as she tried to juggle snacking with getting changed.

The location…

It really doesn’t get much more Hollywood than the Chateau Marmont. Situated on LA’s famous Sunset Boulevard, the luxury hotel was built in the 1920s and inspired by a Loire Valley castle. The retro lifts are decorated all around with plush velvet drapes and the pool is framed by striped towels and overseen by a lifeguard dressed in a traditional white uniform.
