More is always more with Louise Gray and that’s precisely why we love her! Louise’s show has become one of the highlights of Fashion Week with London’s coolest kids always sat front row wearing her pieces and a collection that’s guaranteed to be a riot of colour, print and embellishment. Even the models can't help but have a whole lot of fun backstage!

As expected, for AW12, Louise had the style set sat smiling away once again with her hyper-graphic prints in all kinds of crazy colour combos. “The collection was about everything, all the time,” she told us backstage after her show. Not surprisingly, it was inspired by all kinds of far-flung bits and bobs. From a barcode on her local bus stop and a band called Ruebella Punk to the patterns of Cubist artist Fernand Leger and David Hockney’s opera set designs of the 80s, Louise had a real mash-up of influences this season. All mixed in with a bit of Debbie Harry and Cyndi Lauper of course!

Anyone who knows Louise can’t help but be drawn by her mantra of “happiness and fun" and this was a collection for a girl who likes to go out and have a whole lot of fun. We know her dresses whirling with PVC foil and rubber-printed sequins alongside her peplum jackets and madcap patchwork pants will be lusted after by London’s coolest girls, i.e. Fashion East's Lulu Kennedy who's always spotted wearing a piece of Louise!

Styled up with radio-wave zigzag boots designed by close friend Nicholas Kirkwood under Pollini and Nasir Mazhar's amazing Mohawk hats, it really was the ultimate club kid look. But as Louise told us backstage, there was also a hint of Diana Vreeland and Peggy Guggenheim in their too. It may have been in Louise’s perfectly off-kilter way but if you take a close look, there really was an eccentric, ladylike spin to the whole thing. There was the matching skirt suit in gold and silver brocade graffiti print, the must-have sparkling jewels stitched onto dungarees and elegant coats over matching shift dresses. After seeing Louise's AW12 show, we can't help but wonder if she knows about one of our favourite blogs, Advanced Style?
