Last night, we headed down to Topshop Oxford Circus for the launch of Lady Garden – the Topshop-backed campaign to raise awareness about gynaecological cancers with a range of gold foil logo hoodies and matching joggers. With 30% of each sale going to the charity, there was plenty to celebrate, as Topshop kitted out the party with flower crowns, complimentary manicures and free printed t-shirts for the fashion famous guests. Keep scrolling for our highlights of the night or check out the pictures of celebrities who’ve worn Lady Garden here.
1. Unveiling the new Lady Garden collection
Following the huge success of last year’s collection, London artist and Black Score designer Simeon Farrar has returned to create a new set of Lady Garden designs, debuted last night at the party. This time, Lady Garden’s signature logo gets an update with high-shine gold foil, printed on grey and black hoodies with matching jogging pants.
2. The lavish food and drink
Quails eggs, mini fish cakes and parma ham wraps were all served on top of glass boxes filled with flowers, whilst the drinks were prosecco and healthy mocktails. Think cucumber and ginger beer, and a lavender & strawberry option topped with mint and a pansy flower (Lardy Garden inspired, of course).
3. Snapchat does Lady Garden
We call ours Lady Garden… What do you call yours? In honour of the campaign, Snapchat featured this pretty cool Lady Garden filter. Here’s us testing it out with Cara Delevingne, who’s fronting the campaign.
4. Free manicures and flower crowns all around
Have you heard about our new Gel Nails collection? The nail technicians at last night’s event were using the new range that hit stores a few weeks back. With the choice of a classic gel finish, or Lady Garden inspired designs (gold or silver triangular print), our guests were queuing in numbers to get their customised manis. Oh, and to top it off there were free gold flower crowns for guests to wear (and keep).
5. Customised T-shirts by Black Score
Simeon Farrar also came along to the launch to print custom t-shirts for guests, and it’s safe to say we were spoilt for choice with his collection of screen prints. Butterflies, stars, roses and rainbow tie-dye were just a few of the options to choose from – all carefully painted around the signature Lady Garden logo.
6. Celebrity guests
With the likes of Elizabeth Hurley and Alexa Chung sharing snaps wearing their hoodies on social media, the #LadyGardenCampaign attracts a lot of celebrity attention – so naturally we spotted quite a few famous faces at the event too. From Vogue Williams DJ’ing, to founder Chloe Delevingne posing in front of her sister Cara’s poster and Charlotte De Carle and Amber LeBon trying on the flower crowns – everyone was having a good time for a good cause.
