What better way to see out New York Fashion Week than with an epic party? Last night we partnered with Interview Magazine for an all-nighter to celebrate the launch of their September issue featuring cover stars and fashion’s coolest siblings, Jaden and Willow Smith. Cover stars aside Interview Magazine is known for their work with the hottest talent around including cutting-edge designers, writers and photographers, many of whom made their way to Chelsea for last night’s event.
Hosted at the city’s new hot spot, Kola House, we took over the 5,000 sq ft restaurant-bar with a Tuesday night dance party that had crowds queuing around the block. The DJ-turned-stylist-turned-designer Mia Moretti – who has graced the Topshop blog with her dream prom – hit the decks with a playlist of old school hip hop that had guests including stylish twin sisters TK and Ciprianna Quann and fashion’s favourite baker, Amirah Kaseem, head to the dancefloor.
As well as New York’s most buzzed about DJs – the adorable Kitty Cash played later in the night in a cute Topshop slip – the fashion crowd most definitely turned up with models Leigh Lezark and Imaan Haaman arriving post shows and street style favourites Natalie Joos and Caroline Vreeland stopping to pose for pictures outside the space. The queues winding around the buildings didn’t quit as the Snapchats came thick and fast and fans of Jasmine Sanders and Cameron Dallas got wind of their whereabouts.
After four hours of solid dancing and lots of polaroid taking the crowd emptied out on to the west side of Manhattan ready for the final day of New York Fashion Week and this weekend over the Atlantic for the Topshop Unique show on Sunday.
