It’s London Fashion Week Men’s and our feeds have been filled with Perspex tops and distorted briefcases courtesy of A-Cold-Wall, backless loafers from Martine Rose’s Kentish Town runway and oversized tailoring at Charles Jeffrey’s post-gender paradise. The traditional boundaries of menswear are being pushed more than ever this season, so with that in mind, here are the trends we spotted at the shows that anyone can pull off…
1. Polka dots
A summer favourite and extremely versatile, polka dots are almost always transferable, taking you from daytime catch-ups to dinner dates.
The classic Scottish check has more than earned its place in our wardrobes by reinventing itself again this summer. Feeling bold? Try a co-ord inspired by MAN SS19.
Perhaps the biggest trend this year, thanks to the likes of Off-White and A-Cold-Wall. Not only is this a low-maintenance trend and easy to replicate, it looks like it’s not disappearing any time soon. Inject the trend into your wardrobe with chunky trainers and cargo trousers.
4. Clashing prints
A difficult but rewarding look, clashing prints make are cool and playful in equal measure. They’re a perfect way to make an impact for the incoming warmer weather.
5. Western boots
Western boots never fail to make a statement. Wear them with straight-leg jeans and a boxy jacket or a floaty midi dress.
The cardigan is set to be another new-season favourite, with MAN taking on the trend with some feather jeans. Personalise yours with some badges.
