7 Christmas Pop-Ups To Catch Before They’re Gone Again

The lights have been switched on all over town, which means it’s officially time to indulge in all things Christmas. If that’s not enough to bring you festive cheer, we picked seven pop-ups in London this winter that should do the trick. Keep reading to find out where to get the best eggnog or watch Christmas movies in the Narnia closet…

1. Ski Lodge at The Montague Hotel

Hugely popular last year, The Montague’s Ski Lodge returns to bring an authentic touch of the Alps to London. The luxury hotel’s outdoor wood deck was transformed into a festive-themed alpine ski lodge, complete with a cosy log cabin to offer an “après ski” experience in the heart of the city.

Open until 13th January 2019

2. Pop Up Screens Cinema in the Snow

Head to the Hackney Showrooms, immerse yourself in an enchanting, snow-covered wonderland and walk through the iconic Narnia wardrobe to arrive at the most exciting cinema experience this season. The programme includes classics like Home Alone and The Muppet Christmas Carol, as well as feel-good rom-coms The Holiday and Love, Actually.

13th – 23rd December 2018

3. Wild by Tart Christmas Fair

Want to make Christmas shopping a bit more exciting? Then you shouldn’t miss the Wild by Tart Christmas Fair in Eccleston Yards, set to exhibit the most special Christmas gifts. If that’s still not Christmassy enough for you, you can join a wreath making class from Wild at Heart or enjoy various delicious treats.

8th and 9th December

4. Coppa Club’s Winter Igloos

Dreaming of a Scandinavia Christmas? This year, you can achieve it without even having to leave the country. Southbank’s Coppa Club is the most unique dining experience in town this Christmastime: expect a cosy table setting (shearling pillows, plants and fairy lights) in a giant snow globe with views onto Tower Bridge and a heart-warming festive menu.

Bookings are available until Thursday 31st January

5. Miracle at The Henrietta Hotel

New York’s famous Miracle on 9th Street pop-up bar is crossing the pond for the first time ever to bring its creative cocktails like the ‘Christmapoliton’ garnished with a side of kitsch to the Henrietta Hotel. Along with ’50s Christmas decorations and nostalgic alpine-themed accessories, it’s an experience retro fans shouldn’t miss.

23rd November – 23rd December 2018

6. The Berkeley’s Winter Rooftop Cinema

An open-air cinema in winter? The Berkeley makes it possible on its rooftop garden, transformed into a magical space complete with sparkling Christmas trees and cosy shearling blankets. If you’re planning a special date night this Christmas, this intimate cinema experience  – there are only six seats – would be a pretty great idea.

1st – 31st December

7. St-Germain Winter Bloom Pop Up

If you’re up for something a bit more fancy, you’ll find the most gorgeous of winter blooms and sweet, cinnamon-flavoured tipples at St-Germain’s pop-up on Covent Garden’s Floral Street. Plus, you can learn how to make your very own Christmas-themed flower crown…
