Our Top 5 Celebrity Wedding Dresses of 2019

Summer wedding season is coming to a close and so far 2019 has boasted some of the most beautiful and unique wedding gowns ever. Here at Topshop HQ, we’ve been swooning over traditional princess gowns and cheering for more modern minis. If your big day is coming up and you’re looking for some inspo, or (like us) you just love daydreaming about your ideal wedding, here are our top five favourite celebrity wedding dresses of 2019 so far…

1. Sophie Turner

When The Jonas Brothers met Game of Thrones, it was a Hollywood match made in heaven and Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas’ wedding has to be one of the most talked about of the year. Although their initial nuptials were officiated by an Elvis impersonator in Vegas, the second French ceremony was truly a fairytale. Turner wore a Louis Vuitton gown complete with a full skirt, long sleeves and a V-neckline and we’re utterly obsessed.

2. Zoe Kravitz

We wouldn’t have expected a traditional gown from ultimate cool girl Zoe Kravitz and we’re glad we didn’t get it. Although this isn’t her actual wedding dress, it’s what she wore to the rehearsal dinner, it was too great not to share. Kravitz wore a matching cycling shorts and satin bra set topped off with a bespoke crochet dress, showing that bridal definitely doesn’t have to mean traditional.

3. Sabrina Elba

Idris Elba and wife Sabrina tied the knot in Marrakech this summer. The bride’s truly breathtaking Vera Wang gown was simplicity at its finest: an off-the-shoulder neckline, an A-line fit and a Chantilly lace train featuring embroidery of Idris’ tattoos. British Vogue covered the entire wedding and the couple even graced the cover of the magazine’s July Issue. True wedding goals.

4. Phillipa Coan

Jude Law and his long-term girlfriend Phillipa Coan celebrated a super low-key wedding in London Marylebone’s town hall. Matching the laid-back vibe of the ceremony, Coan looked completely effortless in a cream, ruffled mini-dress paired with some nude heels. If you’re going for that whole ‘let’s just get hitched’ thing, this is some serious inspo for you chilled out brides out there.

5. Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding and Caspar Jopling possibly had one of the most beautiful weddings of 2019 and it’s got everyone on Instagram obsessed. Goulding had not one, but four dresses for the big day, but the Chloe gown she wore down the aisle is our personal favourite. With a high neck, long sleeves hand-embroidered with white roses of York as an ode to her husband’s home, it doesn’t get much better than that.
