Cosy season is here, but unfortunately that doesn’t always mean just being able to stay in bed all day because, you know, work and things. So our second best option to help us tackle the upcoming months is wearing the warmest jumpers whenever we’re forced to brace the cold. The good news? Big warm knits don’t necessarily have to be frumpy! Keep reading to find out how to style our cosiest new-season knits with a fashion twist…
1. Knits and leather
Pair a pretty midi skirt with chunkier knitwear, a leather jacket and heeled boots to master that biker-chic look. Moodier patterns are the vibe this season, so opt for darker shades on all things printed and make sure you’re right on trend.
2. Prints and pleather
Another easy way to make knits look all the more cool is going for a full monochrome colour palette. Pair an oversized black and white knit with some sleek pleather trousers, cream boots and a fluffy bag. This jumper is way too special to cover up with a coat, so opt for a scarf for added warmth instead.
3. Totally ’70s
Take notes: a cream knit should be a classic staple in all of our wardrobes. Dress yours up with some corduroy flares, snakeskin boots and a faux fur bag to make it fit for 2019. Add a beret for extra fashion points and if you want to look like you’ve got your act together.
4. Layering lighter knits
If you’re not too keen on one big jumper, why not layer two thin ones? That way you can switch up your look throughout the day depending on the weather and your mood and it will always add an interesting twist to a simple combination.
Cardigans are all the rage at the moment, so naturally we had to include them in this story. Buttoned up, buttoned down or half up half down – there is no wrong way to way cardigans right now.
